Classical Literature
At Existere Academy, students engage with timeless works that form the moral and intellectual core of Western civilization. Younger students begin with rich storytelling like Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. As they grow, they encounter adventurous and thought-provoking classics such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, The Odyssey by Homer, and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Older students wrestle with deeper questions through works like 1984 by George Orwell, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass. These are just a few of the many great books we explore — all chosen to build literacy, virtue, and the ability to think clearly and speak boldly.
Specialized Study
Our students will study, in depth, the founding documents of our nation — not just to memorize facts, but to understand the ideas that shaped our freedom. We will welcome guest speakers from local government, business, and professional fields to bring real-world perspective into the classroom. At Existere Academy, we do not accept mediocrity or aim for “just passing.” We pursue excellence in thought, character, and effort.
